New Furniture & House Guest

Eric and I decided to invest some money in getting some new furniture in our apartment. We didn't really have a couch, but more of a bench that my mother gave us that she got for free when she bought a ton of furniture for her house. The problem was that it wasn't very comfortable for cuddling or curling up in front of a good movie. I figured that we will be spending a lot of time feeding our baby on the couch it was time to buy one that looked nice and was comfortable. I have always wanted a sectional with a chaise at the end, but they are very pricey.

We also gave away our piano that we never used in our apartment. While they were moving it, the girl that I gave it to recommended shopping at Phillips Furniture. We went there and really loved a leather sectional, however, when we got home we realized that it would not fit where we wanted it to and that the chaise part stuck out more than we had anticipated. Plus with having two rabbits we weren't sure if they would chew leather or not.

Luckily, we went back and the saleswomen that helped us the first time showed us a new piece that had just came in. It was smaller, the right color, and the right price! So we went back home to measure just to double check that it would fit and we went back the next day to order it!

It came a couple of weeks ago and it's wonderful! The only downside is that Eric is often falling asleep on the chaise part and doesn't come to bed until much later. Last night I had to wake him to come to bed!

We could put a little table next to the chaise part if we wanted to! So many options!

Since we got rid of the piano we also decided it was time for a bigger desk. The current desk we were using just wasn't big enough, there were papers everywhere and I was feeling overwhelmed by the messiness of it and now with more space it was time for me to get rid of the small one. Eric is a huge fan of corner desks so when I was in Brentwood the other day to go to Dierberg's I decided to stop in Office Max to see what they had. They had a desk that was a corner desk that was $30.00 off. Great! So I brought home the brochure for Eric and for the price and space we were sold! What made the deal even sweeter was there was a coupon we found through slickdeals.net for $15.00 off and I had a $25.00 gift card. We definitely got a great deal on this desk.

As you can see we still need to do some organizing but I'm ready to finally get some stuff organized and put away!

Eric also realized that we have a bird that is laying some eggs right outside our window. She has been there for about a week and every time we go to the window we see her. We know there are at least two eggs but we are not sure if she is laying more or not. Meet our new house guest in which we have not named yet.
