Saturday Night Adventure!

This past Saturday I was having an awful day. Usually I go over to Eric's and hang out for the day but just wasn't in the mood to hanging out with people so I headed home and Eric decided to come over. After taking a much needed nap and feeling a bit refreshed we decided to go to Schafly's for dinner. If you haven't eaten at Schafly's you should definitely check it out. I'm more of a fan of the Bottleworks than the Tap Room location.

We decided to head to Walgreens to pick up a few things. During dinner I had received a voicemail from my Aunt for me to call her back. I knew it would be a long conversation so I wanted until after dinner to call her back. Eric went into Walgreens to pick up a few things and I talked to my aunt. When Eric got back in the car he tried to start the car and the car started doing weird things that remind me of a horror movie. The lights in the car flickered, the dashboard lights were going crazy, and the CDs in the CD player were switching. Eric tried to figure out the cause and there was no luck.

So finally after trying to troubleshoot it Eric called Pontiac's Roadside service and I started calling my friends to see if someone would come and get me. Unfortunately, one was out, one was in Chicago and the other didn't pick up. So I ended up calling Sarah who luckily had just gotten back from Houston a couple days ago. Her hubby Josh was able to come and get me and take me to my car at home!

When I got back to Eric we waited for the Roadside Assistance to come. We waited and waited and at about 11 he decided to call again. Eric learned that they typed in his number incorrectly and that it would take 3 hours for them to get to his car. So he left his car unlocked with the keys hidden. Since I had to be up early the next morning I took him home and he was going to take his grandmother's car and wait since it wasn't safe to leave an unlocked car with keys in it.

Eric asked me to swing by the car on the way home to make sure it was still okay. So I did and there was the tow truck! The guy told me to call Eric and pick up the car because it started! I couldn't believe it! So I went to pick up Eric to take him to his car and when we got there...the car wouldn't start!

Finally after waiting 5 minutes it started back up. Yesterday Eric took the car to the dealership and they told him it was the battery. We found out that since I had left my phone car charger in his car all week it had been slowly draining his battery which doesn't happen in my car. Whoops!
