Time for an Update!

It has been a very long time since Eric and I have posted a blog! Sorry!

We both have been very busy. Eric has a huge project at work which has been requiring him to work until 7-7:30 at night and the only thing he wants to do after a long day is to veg out.

For the past couple of weeks my mom has been out of town (to Laos) and I have been working at the restaurant right after working at work. I took two days off of work to help out. My mom will come back on the 1st of January. Then things should be back to normal.

Eric and I have been having fun as well. Last weekend was busy! On top of taking my brother to all of his weekend activities we were invited by Sarah to a White Elephant Party. The party was so much fun and we got to use teamwork to play a couple games. Although we didn't win we all had a great time. We brought three gifts (since there were three of us): body lotion, a game, and an ornament with lip gloss. We came home with a bird mobile (for next years party), a game called Set, and a bag full of yummy goodies. Not too bad!

Last night Eric and I went over to Sarah and Josh's place to play Settlers of Catan. I was a little nervous about learning how to play it but they explained the game very well and I really enjoyed it. Josh won the first game and Eric won the second. Sarah and I (the girls in general) need to start kicking some boy's butts! (Last time at a game party the girls lost to the boys in Trivia Pursuit-which lasted a couple hours!)

My job is still going great. Though Rich and I got some big news on Thursday and I really can't stay what it is until everyone in the office knows about it. Alexa plans to break it to everyone in the office after the New Year.

Next semester will be SO busy. I am attending 3 conferences in the spring and one in the summer. Two of the conferences will be in the same week. So I leave on a Monday for Branson (I will drive there) and come back Wednesday. Then I will catch a plane to Dallas on Wednesday night and come back on Sunday. It will be a lot of traveling but hopefully I'll be coming back with a wealth of knowledge!

This semester has flown by. I haven't given the Ph.D. much thought but I need to. I should be studying every night to prepare for the verbal part of the GRE.

I hope everyone has a wonderful and happy holidays. Hopefully we'll post again soon!
